The other issue is that people try to extend the range past the point where the equipment is made to reach. Check your router and wireless card to see the maximum range. It is better to be under the range by atleast 20%.
Many times people tell us that multiple computers have trouble being on at the same time. Be sure that you have your computer set to DHPT server so that the router automatically assigns an ip address to every computer that is on your network.
